New Years Eve

Well I think New Year's Eve is always going to be interesting because it falls on Ellie's birthday, but this year we decided to go party some more at Ryan and Emily's house!  The Pirrera's were there as well...our group of kids has grown by 3 in a year and it is almost comical.
The kids all love to play together as you can see below and the adults tried to enjoy some really good food and adult beverages....TRIED

Chase is about 4 months older then Ella...i still think she is going to be the boss

 What???
 Best buddies

 Wrestling time

All the kids but Brady made it till 11pm...whats more important is the parents were still awake as well....

Miss Ella is One

After a very long Sunday we actually celebrated Ella's Birthday together as a family recouping.   I cannot believe a year went by so quickly.  Sometimes when I look at Ella and Parker I am amazed how much they have changed in just a short few weeks....
Ella is growing so fast and reaching so many milestones it is sometimes hard for me to keep up with her.  At her one year doctors appointment she weighed 24.8 LBS which is the 95% for weight and she is 29.5 inches tall so she is in the 61% for Height.  I am hoping the poor girl puts on a few more inches in the next couple of months...hahah  She is also very close to walking...so close in fact I am sure by my next post she will be walking everywhere.  She really only says mama and Dada at this point but we don't think it will be long before she gives us an opinion of how she feels.  She is starting to voice her opinion when she does not get her way...which is really funny and on the opposite side she squeals in delight when she does get her way.  I am thinking she is going to have one heck of a personality :)
Ella still idolized Parker and really tries to do everything he does.

Parker thought it was fabulous that it snowed on Ella's Birthday!!

Ella's First Birthday Party

Well Miss Ella's first birthday was a great success.  I think I put more effort into her first birthday then my own wedding!  But lets not get my mom started on that!  Although since she is the only girl on my side of family that lives close,  I feel like we really have to bring the girl party out!  I do have to admit that I had a really good time planning the party, once I got over how close to Christmas it was!  I have to say having to plan Christmas and a Birthday is not easy...but something I am confident over the next few years I will become an expert at!!!  We did a original Minnie Mouse theme....which for those who know me should not be surprised, I have been a Disney fanatic for my entire life!!!
A big thanks go out to my mom and Aunt Emily, I would never have been able to pull this off with out them!  Aunt Emily is responsible for all the center pieces and the very cute outfit that Miss Ella wore for her big day.  My mom of coursed helped with everything from shopping for food to decorations... to spending hours decorating the night before....it was a heck of an operation!!!
For those of you wondering I went way overboard on the cake....

opening the very special present from Sammie
Sammie painted this all by herself for Ella....it is beautiful, I think her and Ella will always have a special bond

It was a very special day for our little girl and for us.  It was so nice to see everyone and get to visit.  Much to our surprise after the party we ended up taking Ella to prompt care...temp was 101.7 and she had a double ear infection and a sinus infection....but the important thing was she made it through her party...hahaha
