Parker and Ethan at the park

So we decided to take the boys to the park this week... Needless to say Darrin and I were exhausted at the end of the day

Labor day weekend 2011

So we started out labor day weekend with a diagnosis of chicken pox for Parker. For those of you wondering he did have the vaccine! I guess it just prevents you from getting them really badly!! So the doctor Told us Parker would on be contagious for 48 hours so we only had to spend two days locked inside and we did get out a couple times over the weekend

We got him play dough to pass some time below are pictures of that

He really had a good time

Darrin's sister and part of her family came home for the long weekend and we took Parker over to see them and go to the park for awhile with the kids

Spencer loves to rub Darrin's bald head

Sammie entertaining Parker

Running loose at the water park/park

Wanting us to turn the water on...

He won.... How many of younger surprised?

What??

Helping get Sammie wet also!

Sammie did not want me taking her picture!!

He is such a boy

Spencer was not feeling well so grandpa sat with him!

Spencer does not like us taking pictures of him but I was able to snap this picture without him knowing. Parker got into Spencers lap all by himself!

August 2011

Well, August was a very hard month for us.

Because I work for Coca-Cola, I had to work for the whole state fair. This meant long days and weekends, which really put Parker on edge for about 3 weeks.

Below are pictures of Parker and Darrin going down the giant slide at the fair.

He has no fear!!!

On August 15th, Darrin's mom, Leona, passed away. She was 67 years old, and had a happy, bubbly personality. She lit up most rooms when she walked in and she could always make you laugh! She loved spending time with her grandkids, and watching them grow and change! We have such a void in our lives with her loss, but feel truly blessed with the time we spent with her. Below is my favorite picture of Parker and her together!

After such a long few weeks we decided to take Parker to the park to blow off some steam.

He loves animals, so he was very excited to see ducks!! But then he saw the water fountain and it was all over.

Then he found the mud puddle...you can just hear Nana Cour having a fit.

That's my boy!

A visit to Indianapolis in July

We went to Indy for a weekend in July and as usual we had a great time visiting and the kids played well together.

They look innocent, don't they!!
